State Borodino War and History Museum and Reserve formally invites you to participate as an honourary guest in Military History Festival "Borodino Day" and International Scientific Conference "Borodino and Napoleonic Wars, Battles, Battlefields Memorials" devoted to the 190th anniversay of the Battle of Borodino from September 6th till September 12th, 2002.

 

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

 

September 6,

Friday

Arrival in Moscow.

Borodino museum transports participants from Moscow to Borodino and accomadates them in hotel.

September 7,

Saturday

Opening of new exposition "Borodino - the Battle of Giants".

Tour of Borodino Battlefield memorial places and monuments and exhibitions.

 

September 8,

Sunday

Military History Holiday "Borodino Day" including solemn ceremonials and re-enactment of the Borodino Battle episodes (1200 infantrymen and 100 cavalrymen re-enactors, 20 canons)

International scientific conference "Borodino and Napoleonic Wars, Battles, Battlefields, Memorials"

September 9

Monday

Theme of the day: "Battles and Battlefields of Napoleonic era"

Greetings to the conference (5 minutes)

Lectures (20 minutes per lecture)

Festive dinner

September 10

Tuesday

Cultural program including tours of Moscow museums connected with military history subjects according to your wishes. Please, send offers.

September 11

Wednesday

Day of departure.

 

 

The Borodino Museum provides accomodations, meals, transportation from Moscow and back, transportation within program activities and cultural program, English and French and German Accompanying translation.
